Welcome to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines! It's a Sunday, and plus, it's the Christmas break. There are very few people inside this vast university.
Here you can see The Obelisk, standing majestic on its base, which depicts the strength of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines as an institution of higher learning, promoting educational and moral aims which are fortified by a determined leadership with a clear vision for the Filipino youth and an efficient support system inspired by the virtues of public service. (just copied and pasted that... hehe
The building with the red roof is called The Interfaith Chapel, while the building with the 6 floors is called "Main". You can see the Philippine flag on the pole, and a belen over there.
Here I am, Caroline, on the 6th floor, and we saw a Christmas tree and a Parol. Might as well grab a chance to take a picture with it.
And now, the different Parols!
This one is made of "Banig", and woven, with red fans on the outside.
The star is made from the bottles of Yakult.
I like this one.
It's because....
.... it's made of popcorn!
There are more parols made by the students, by it's hard to visit them all. And now, I'm here in a Christmas wreath, with a picture on it. The story is, the department will accumulate 3,000 gifts from the students voluntarily, and then they will be given to children. This was from last year's photo.
Abby let me sneak into the small office of their organization. I have went here before.
Then later...
THE BANAUE RICE TERRACES!!
A former wonder of the world, and now a UNESCO site. I didn't get there physically, but I can't help stare its majestic beauty in aerial view.
Abby's mom is pointing to the sign. It says "Ayala Triangle". Oh, so that's where we are heading.
Going up!
Entering...
AND now, we're here.
Just enjoying
A Closer View... ooh, there's another belen!
