Hi Folks!
I have to tell you, that today is my last day at my lovely host mellialida. She and the tv's Winter bear and chubby berry mad a big party for me! I was so suprised (Mellialida will upload the pics tomorrow, she is really sleepy!)
But ... a dream came come true: I visit the Wartburg! In 1999 UNESCO added Wartburg Castle to the World Heritage List as an "Outstanding Monument of the Feudal Period in Central Europe", citing its "Cultural Values of Universal Significance". The castle's foundation was laid about 1068 by the Thuringian count of Schauenburg. According to tradition, the castle got its name from Ludwig dem Springer: "Warte, Berg -- du sollst mir eine Burg werden!"
This was soooo exciting! Tomorrow I leave the others. I am a little bit sad, but also really nervous because of the dark, dark, daaaaark envelope!
