China Beach

This is the Sea Cliff neighborhood known for lots of large well-maintained houses.  







Okuma and I took the shortcut behind Robin Williams' house.  We  like the deck on top of one of the other houses and want to hang out there.  If you live there, please contact my mom about hosting me.  





This is the house Robin Williams bought and re-built 30 some years ago, which he may have lost in his 2008 divorce.  He has re-married but we don’t know where they live. 



Someone donated a bench across the street on National parkland in memory of his parents.  We sat there and took more pictures.







Then we walked down to the beach. 



Oh, mom, Okuma and I have found our calling.  We will work for the park service beach patrol, driving this van and riding a surfboard.











Ha ha, can you see the Golden Gate Bridge behind me?  Just a few seconds later more of it showed up when Okuma got in front of the camera, then it disappeared.







Psst, don't tell anyone but someone we know would put this place on the top ten list, probably no. 1, of the best places to visit in the city, not for the delightful walk through the neighborhood, scenic views,  shelter from the wind, shear beauty of the beach and rocks, crashing waves and fog horns but for the cumulative intangible meditative experience of repeated visits.  Then we took the stairs that go on forever.
