Hohenburg, Homburg, Germany - 24th February 2008

Today it's warm (14C) and sunny and we decided to go on a little adventure: We went to explore the ruins of the Hohenburg, former Castle Homburg. Excavations are under way there but it's hard because the castle has been built, razed and rebuilt several times over the centuries. Here you can see a plan of the fortifications of the 17th/18th century:

There were lot's of curving staircases and I dared to climb them all:
