Medicina, Italia - 8th May 2016
Today, with the Photoclub, we visited the Radio Astronomical Station of Medicina (about 30 kms from Bologna). It is an observatory managed by INAF (National Institute for Astrophysics). It hosts two radio telescopes: the first Italian radio telescope (called "the Northern Cross", owned by the University of Bologna) and a 32-m parabolic dish. It was so exciting! The dish turns to collect the radio frequency.
