Cedar Mountain North Carolina, Usa - 21st May 2014

By: godsavetheking1776

Hello again
It is me your lovable little lamb Dolly back with another post from DuPont State Recreational Forest in Cedar Mountain North Carolina. My papa and I went on a hike today to look at waterfalls. I love to go hiking with my papa. He even does not mind to carry me when I get tired of hiking. I will tell you a little about this forest it contains 10,400 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Elevations range from 2,240 feet at Cascade Lake to 3,620 feet at the peak of Stone Mountain. Little River runs through the forest, with four major waterfalls along its course. The forest also contains five lakes. The first waterfall we went to is High Falls (pictured bellow) It is a very beautiful waterfall and I am so very lucky to have so many waterfalls close to my home. Papa said that some of the movie The Last of the Mohicans (1992) with Daniel Day-Lewis was filmed at the waterfalls.
Love
Dolly
