Hi, it's me
yesterday was my brother's proposal to visit the Churfirsten. The Churfirsten are a mountain range in the valley of Togenburg. This Plating comprises seven peaks, all over 2000 meters high.
Therefore host mum calls it the mountains of Snow White. " behind the seven hills, where the seven dwarfs..." So we were on our way.
In perfect weather we drove up the Toggenburg to Alt St. Johann.
This small village is incidentially the hometown of the famous ski jumper Simon Ammann.
From there we took a cable car up the mountain to Alp Sellamatt, 1400 meters above sea level.
We had a wonderful view over the valley and the Säntis on the other side.
First we walked along a path called Sound Trail.
While hiking the Sound Path you can experience "how stone sounds"
or feel how a tree transports sounds, or try out 23 different instruments. It was very funny.
We also saw pigs, they looked very satisfied.
Later we came to a road that is called Path of Legends
An exiting walk taking in several adventure stories, mythical legends and fantastic tales from Toggenburg.
Finally, we had a look at the Luke chapel.
The ecumential chapel of St.Luke is a few steps above the mountain inn, surrounded by ancient firs.
This chapel fulfilled family Lötscher a big desire. They named it after their first grandson Luke.
On a stone wall in front of the chapel we marveled once again the beautiful scenery.
Then we were on our way home.
After another exciting, wonderful day we fell to bed tired.
That's for today, Angeli
