Travelog post for: Tatanka

Hello finally!  Mel took Madison on an overnight trip for her birthday, and we got to come along!  We drove all the way to Chicago!  It was a big city compared to Grand Haven, we rode trains and buses and drove on way too crowded roads. *L* 

We started the day with a musical for children!  It was called "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Really Bad Day."  It wasn't on Broadway, but it was fun!  We got to yell things to the actors sometimes and ask questions at the end.  There were a lot of kids there because some schools brought them for a field trip. 

And then rode back downtown.  We had lunch and then walked towards the museum campus.  We found these strange sculptures in a park.  What funny looking people!



Chicago is famous for its skyscrapers.  We stopped on a bridge over the railroad tracks to view the skyline.



Just over my head is the Sear's Tower.  It was the tallest building in the world for many years!



Of all of the museums, Madison chose to go to the Shedd Aquarium.  It was too dark for pictures in most places but we saw so many neat things!  Mel's favorites are always the sea dragons.  Madison's was a HUGE black fish that lives in rivers in Africa.
MY favorite was the Beluga Whales!  Batty and I didn't want to leave, they were so pretty to watch swimming.



Then we slept all the way home.  Fun trip!
