Carl's been "in the mail" for over a month now, and i have such little faith in the postal sysem, I fear the worst... *sniff* my first voyager, and my most active.... I hope he turns up.
I do actually have an extra Carl so if he does end up being gone i can send out "Carlos" and no one will know, but still, its sad.
Is this a common thing? I an noticing alot fo missing voyagers.

There are a few missing at the moment, unfortunately.
Please please please - we can't do anything about the mail system, but you can take certain precautions to *help* in not losing your TV.
Please - LOOK at a Member's Profile and previous Hosting before you agree to send - and KEEP CHECKING that they are ACTIVE and that they do GOOD UPDATES, promptly.
Please GET EMAIL and POSTAL addresses for everyone on your Travel list before you send any TV onwards - and please put a forwarding (return) address in with your TV if you want to be doubly sure (if lost in the post for example).
The most important thing though, is to CHECK UP ON your prospective hosts, and to establish some sort of communication with them - we are very much in favour of encouraging newbies to host, but you must check, and be sure of them - so see if they use the Forum, see if they are active, and, as a general indication, if they haven't even started their own TV, they do not know what it's like to Host/ Update - be careful!
If you have/ still have TVs missing - please do PM me with details (who, who's got it, history etc) and I will do my best (or continue doing my best - but a reminder would be good) to help locate and get them back, if at all possible.
Kind Regards
Isobel

Keep your fingers crossed... I do a LOT of online shopping because honestly I can't read Japanese and being in Japan without being able to read Japanese and being ahem a bit larger than the average Japanese female means I have no outlet for some items. Anyways, point being I probably get at least a package/week ordered. Of those I've had ONE go missing and be refunded, and honestly I think he should've waited another couple weeks (and I was willing to wait). I've had packages arrive in less than a week and packages take about two months... Of course I'm dealing with the military post system which is unique in its own rights But point being, keep your fingers crossed!
There was a case in the news where a postcard was delivered recently 26 YEARS later!

......................... Please don't mail to my old Japan address! We are in the states now! Ask me for my new one
