Hey everyone! :)
As some of you may know I'm not ONE user. In fact I'm 19 users! :D
Okay, that sounds weird, I know. But it's about the following thing: We're the tenth grade of a german high school - and next summer, after summer holidays, we're going to be seperated.
Because we really want to enjoy our last year together we're sending our class mascot ( Gammler ) on a trip around the world.

So, many of us are posting here - and we found this tradition and thought it would be great to take part in it!
The rules ( in the words of sararingham , thanks! :D )

1. Tell us about yourself, and your address, or email address... or someway to contact you (if not just message)... and if you want it to be a surprise send your address to someone else and let us know who so we can then contact them for your address to send things to you...
2. Post your holiday wish list - with up to 10 things. These can be simple things like postcards/cards to a new car... doesn't mean you'll get it... but hey you can put it in... :-)
3. Read through other wish lists and if you feel generous and it's something you'd like to grant... then send them a card or whatever you would like... it's just that - a wish list... :-)

And that's us ( the creative heads. )
Käte: Extravert !
Lucas: Obliging!
Adrian: Unique!
Jost: Ukulele ?
Jördis: ... ama Espana! :)

Our wishlist? Hm? Ah! Yes... puh. That's difficult :D

- Postcards from anywhere! Maybe in your native language *.*
- flower seeds from your country and everything related to flowers (;
- Everything about The Beatles ! Sooo great!
- Something we can use on our class trip to Hamburg?
- Pens and biros ! For 'special things' to write, if you know what me mean ;)
- Music instruments! *__*
- Candy, food and recipes from your country !
- Nice hats !!!
- Whatever you want and want to share with us ;)

For further details please pm us ;)

Can't wait to see your reactions and your wishlists - we're sure we can grant some of your wishes ^^

Käte & Lucas.

What a great idea! ;-) I usually start it a bit later - but hey, a bit earlier means people can actually get things done and have them be posted out in time... now for my xmas 2011 list:

- souvenirs from your local area/country
- candies/lollies from your local area
- anything Totoro or Pac-Man
- anything Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters
- finger puppets (which would be turned into TV's)
- something creatively made by you (drawing, painting, photos, anything)
- a little toy for my autistic 5 year old son
- SURPRISE ME!

If you're from the USA, I'm trying to finish my state quarter collection - I'm missing the quarters from North Dakota and New Mexico... so help with those would be awesome!

If you'd like to send me something, please send me a PM or email at sara.ringham@gmail.com

Thanks so much everyone! :-)

oh as you're saying it now, I have to ask - I thought I would pick someone here whom I want to send something nice for christmas, but I would only send it shortly before christmas so it would be arriving then - to make it fit somehow.

but do I just randomly send it as soon as possible or should I really wait until then? (just originally thought about around the 24th of december, since well, what other time do you give christmas presents? - expect 25th, that one doesn't count, haha)
Jinny
lunaticjinny@gmail.com

Posted Nov 16, 2011, 8:56 pm
I won't be able to send mine before December..
But if I could, I probably would XD
I think the chance of something getting lost in the mail during Christmas is extra high, besides, it takes way longer around that time..
So I'd say the earlier it's being sent.. the better?
But it's a matter of your own opinion I guess xD

Posted Nov 16, 2011, 9:30 pm
Oh okay, alright I didn't think of stuff being lost in the post at all  it never happened so far to me, guess that where it comes from (just once we had a carpet that was sent to Australia instead of Austria, it took about half a year to come to us for real.. they had the same postal code down there and sent it all the way to some little town there).

but now with that in mind .. going to send mine pretty early as well - who doesn't know the feeling of not being able to wait anymore for your gifts? so what could be better than getting them a bit ahead already? :D thanks for the answer! :)

Are there any kangaroos in Austria?  Have a look at a Postcrossing postcard. There was a thread on Postcrossing's forum about mail going to strange places first, seems Austria-destined post goes via Australia quite often!
SashiSan

Posted Nov 17, 2011, 6:36 pm
I think at the zoo we even may have a few kangaroos in Vienna, Schönbrunn - though they are somehow kind of rare compared to bears :D (too bad, it would be quite funny I think)
but that card looks awesome - really like that one :D

(no wonder post-fees are so high, if they send stuff to Australia first  )

Dear Noisy,

I really want to thank you for your amazing gift. I wanted to buy this book since ages but never had the chance, as I always bought books for university. But thanks to you I can work on it right now as well.

Thanks again :)

We're really happy that so many nice people around here got nice presents :) It is so great, we started something special.
We hope the envelopes and the package will arrive safely :)

The only thing arrived here was a postcard from South Africa.. that was so nice! We immediately pinned it to our class wall ^^

Merry Christmas! <3

I just want to thank all these users that have thought about me for Christmas!
Thanks!Thanks!Thanks!
I really like your gifts, and while I write this I enjoy a cup of Blueberry green tea.

And I want to say that *hopefully* some users will get their parcels during the next days. The Post hasn't worked as reliable as they did the past years :(
I think, all oversee-gifts and even some here in Germany, hasn't reached their addressees :(

This is a bit tardy to say, and I think I sent thank you cards or notes to everyone, but if I didn't, thanks to all for the really wonderful Christmas treats! Also, for the first few cards and teas, I guessed at postage and realized I was way off later, so if I didn't reciprocate in sending a card, that is why. So sorry for that and please accept my gratitude. I had such a lovely collection of cards thanks to my toyvoy friends. :D
