My love
I want to be by myself tonight with you
I want to know everything's alright
I need hope, I need love
I need life with you for now
For now

Supposing that I write it in a note tonight
Supposing that you find it by your bedside light
I'm hoping that it finds you A.O.K.
I hope I say it right
My love
My love

With you
I want to know all there is to know about you
I want to know the little things you do
Where you go, when you dream
I need to know you need me
But for now
For now

Supposing that you write it in a note tonight
Supposing that you leave it by my bedside light
I know that it will find me A.O.K.
I know you'll say it right
My love
My love

Supposing that I write it in a note tonight
My love
Supposing that you find it by your bedside light
My love
I'm hoping that it finds you A.O.K.
My love
I hope I say it right
My love

Supposing that you write it in a note tonight
My love
Supposing that you leave it by my bedside light
My love
I know that it will find me A.O.K.
My love
I know you'll say it right
My love

What (briefly), is a day in the life for you?

Posted Jun 19, 2008, 11:50 pm
Wake up about 16 times, jump out of bed in a panic because I am late, dash to the loo, switch off the house alarm, let the dogs out (in winter), iron school uniforms (because I washed them too late and they weren't dry before I went to bed - I never learn), run my bath, wake up both children, check bath, go back and wake up children, tell son that I don't care if he hates school he still has to get dressed and I'M NOT JOKING!, have bath, get out, go yell at kids to hurry up and get dressed for heavens sake...., get dressed myself, tell kids that I am going to take them to school in their pj's, tie up my still wet hair, put on some make up so I don't scare people, tell kids we are leaving NOW so that they will start getting dressed. Eventually dress the youngest child myself...tell them to brush their teeth, pack lunches, go back to the bathroom to brush their teeth, give them a tea and breakfast to have in the car on the way to school (never going to win any mother of the year contest), drive to school, do maths revision with son, try not to get killed by lawless taxi drivers, drop monsters off and head back home to sort out the day before's damage...oh you said be BRIEF...sorry, that was just the first hour!

Here's hoping.

Have you ever eaten a whole box of chocolates by yourself, in one day?

Posted Sep 17, 2008, 2:43 pm
What is a "whole box" for you? In Germany we usually have 100 g-bars, sometimes 200 g or 300 g. The smallest should be no problem, 300 g would make me sick.

Yes, I already had 100 g one day. I am intolerant to lactose so I can only eat dark chocolate. Most people don't eat too much of it, because it is not so sweet like milk chocolate or even white chocolate.

Do you like liqorice? I'm asking because the liqorice-equator divides Germany into two parts, the liqorice-lovers and the liqorice-haters. I'm living in the right part, where liqorice is loved.

are japanese comics popular in your country? if so, do you read any of them?

Posted Jan 11, 2009, 3:36 pm
Yes, 'manga' are popular with kids and young teenagers. I read some that my sister bought, but I find it a bit frustrating that one comic only has a very small part of the story and to see how it goes on one has to buy/wait for the next one. But they are fun. Yaoi and Shonen-Ai (I hope I spelled those correctly) are also popular in certain adult circles.

Do you watch cartoons?

Posted Jan 13, 2009, 11:37 pm
Sometimes. I'll watch old cartoons that I liked when I was a kid on YouTube, for nostalgia's sake.

Posted Jan 19, 2009, 11:09 am
In Germany we have some TV-shows with Super-Nannies for ill-bred children and also dogs. Maybe I would try to find someone like this for birds. Maybe being so noiseful would be a resultl of bad education. If it would be typical for this kind of bird it would have no chance to stay at my home. I would search for a new home for the bird than.

Did you ever had problems with a pet, relating to its behaviour?

Do you enjoy science-fiction (movies, TV Shows etc)?

Posted Jan 20, 2009, 7:18 am
I like them as long the action is taking place on earth, like in "Soylent Green" for example. To make me watch this stuff which is acting in space like "Star Wars" someone would have to pay me pretium doloris.

Are you interested in what is going on in space?

Posted Jan 20, 2009, 1:35 pm
to be honest I find it all a little confusing...

Are you watching Obama's inaugeration on TV?

What are the top 3 things you would do if you win the lottery?

Posted Jan 31, 2009, 9:59 am
I thought about this the whole week because there are more than 35 million Euro in the lotto jackpot this week.

I would buy a nice old house to live in, than I would go on vacation. That would be enough for spending money immediately, I would also need a little bit of money for the following 30 years. I would think of doing something good of course. I am already engaged in animal welfare, that is also a good thing.

Did you ever win money in a lottery?

Posted Jan 31, 2009, 10:26 am
I've occasionally won $2 in the scratch lotto, and once won $30.00 in the Melbourne Cup Sweep at work (a horse race).

Do you get spring break in schools where you live? I get a two day 'reading break' next week.

Posted Feb 11, 2009, 9:43 pm
Yes, they have two weeks off school here around Easter. In Germany they really have too many free time at school:
Six weeks in summer, two weeks in autumn, two and a half week in winter and two weeks in spring. Schools can in addition to this choose about five days for more free days. They often given around "Karneval" or Pentecoast.

When you go to work you usually have between 24 and 30 days off work. I have 30 days, that makes more than six weeks if I choose the days carefully, if possible with holidays between them.

How about in your country (free days off work) Is there a legal regulation?

Posted Apr 7, 2009, 7:26 pm

What do you tink about the new robot-pets?

Posted Apr 9, 2009, 11:31 am
In my opinion they are the perfect present for spoiled kids which already have everything - useless, propably expensive and nothing to inspire someone's imagination. At the best they lead to discussions like "my dog is larger than yours because my parents have more money to spend".

In one sentence: Things the world can do without.

I would love the moment of dead batteries. (Although they have an advantage: they can't bite and they don't sh**)

Did you ever have such a thing?

I prefer real pets :)

What are your holiday plans?

Posted Dec 17, 2009, 8:28 pm
(It is!)

What is your favourite type of candy?

Posted Dec 23, 2009, 12:26 pm
Hmmm so hard to choose.
After eating the 'fancy' chocolate my students' families gave me for Christmas I've decided I much prefer plain old Cadbury chocolates, best ones being the Bubbly ones.

Is Santa a bad influence?

Posted Dec 25, 2009, 8:30 pm
How do you mean? Like, the belief in Santa? Santa will always live on in my house, even if he writes his labels in my mother's handwriting and has forgotten to give my mom any presents for the past two years (don't worry, we make up for it!), and my family went to see our local mall Santa, and two days later I got what I had asked him for, something that I had been waiting for for five months. Also, I like the whole spirit of giving thing and as a child growing up in a non-religious family, it was good to have a secular figure to look up to at Christmas time.

What was your favourite present this Christmas?

Posted Dec 26, 2009, 12:49 pm
I got a lovely Japanese doll from one of my students.

As for Santa being a bad influence, a university in Australia has concluded that Santa is a bad influence on kids because he's
a) overweight
b) smokes
c) doesn't wear a seat belt.

(I didn't know that Lithuania was once bigger....)

How long does your TV travel to other continent?

Posted Apr 2, 2010, 11:34 pm
I'm not sure what you mean. You mean how long it takes to get there or how long I let them visit?
It depends on the country on how long it takes them to get there. I've sent Penny to Australia from here and it took her about a week and a half. However, when I sent SunnyHH to his next host in China, it took over a month for him to arrive.
As for letting them stay, usually about a month if I can find another host. Sometimes longer if they have something planned.
